TARARAM TARARAM

KAMARA PURE

Label: Tararam tararam

Origin: Northern Greece

Region: Slopes of Kamara-Oraiokastro Thessaloniki

Variety: Field blend- an harmonic combination of 7 varieties

History of the label:

2023 was a weird year. To this difficult year we decided to make our first field blend with the few grapes that we had. This wine is a harmony of 7 varieties, harvested and vinified together.

The label depicts a well known traditional Greek theater, where Karagiozis helped Alexander the Great to kill the dragon with a watering can. So do we. With good mood, humour and laughing we faced the difficulties that life brings.

The name of the wine Tararam- tararam is the moto of our grandmother, her problem-free philosophy.

Tasting notes:

Bright lemon color. The nose is dominated by the aromas of berries with notes of peach, rose and jasmine. In the mouth, the body is moderate, with crisp acidity and buttery sensation. It has a long aftertaste.

Winemaking report:

Traditional vinification for field blend. The grapes of the 7 varieties are harvested all together the same day and let them co-ferment in one tank with its indigenous yeasts under controlled temperature of 20ο C. After the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine aged with its fine lees in old French oak barriques. No use of oenological products, no protein stabilization, no filtration, only tartaric stabilization during the cold months of the year.
