Meet the Team

 Dimitrios Kioutsoukis

Dimitrios is the father of the family and founder of Kamara estate. His wine journey began 50 years ago thanks to his grandfather who taught him everything about vinification. Passionate about learning more upon winemaking, he followed an extension program for winemaking from UC Davis many years after his studies in Chemical engineering. At the beginning, he was responsible for everything and now, he passes the baton to the next generation, to his kids. However, he is still the main responsible for the decisions taken concerning the cellar operations. In his free time, he enjoys working out, and on weekends he enjoys hiking and having fun gatherings in the winery with his friends. He loves to cultivate  his own vegetables garden and feed his chickens and geese. He loves to drive with Elie his old Vespa PX200(42 y.o) and doing Vanlife on the mountains. He also enjoys good music and he is also an avid guitar and  bouzouki player.  

Eleftheria Giapanidou

Elie is the mother of the family, the calm strength of the family. Whenever there is an argument or a problem, she is the one who will be the mediator to solve it. She studied biology and she followed a teaching training program for 2 years to become a teacher. She was a teacher in elementary school for 30 years. Now she works in the winery, and she is dealing with the difficult staff, the bureaucratical issues. She travels on the mountains with Dimitris doing Vanlife and with their old Vespa. She enjoys  reading books in her free time, working out and she loves cooking for friends and hiking among others.

Stavroula Kioutsouki

Following her passion about nature and wine , Stavroula studied agronomy and then did a master in Oenology. Since 2015 she works full time in the winery as being the responsible one for the vineyards. In the meantime, she decided to expand her knowledge upon wine by doing a phD research upon it. Being an avid painter, she is trusted to design all our labels. Apart from painting, in her free time, you can find her working to make her dream “secret garden”, doing calisthenics or hiking seeking for new things to learn about nature.

Athanasios Kioutsoukis

Athanasios is the elder of the twins. He studied mechanical engineering. In the winery, you will find him all the time upon a machine trying to understand how it works or making a new patent-machine. He is the one who makes our work lives easier. He is the responsible for all the mechanical issues. He is also an avid musician and adventurer. He loves hiking with his friends and sometimes being lost in the woods.

Apostolos Kioutsoukis

Apostolos is the younger of the twins. He studied agronomy. After his studies, willing to know more about the hard work in the Horeca, he worked in different restaurants in Greece and Cyprus. And in 2020, he felt ready to return and work in the winery. He is responsible for bureaucratical issues with Eli. He is also responsible for the website. His favorite hobby is craftmanship. He spends a lot of hours carving small wood pieces that he finds in the near forest
